Idea: Tagging Everything
dear open source community,
you all know these "Sema" codes from posters that want you to go to their homepage. But this is only the beginning. If someone invents a freesystem and reader the possibilitys are endless.
You could make unique stickers with a tag and place them in bars, clubs, libarys, universitys, whereever you like. On the other hand you need a free reader for the mobilephone, that only decodes the sticker and opens an url.
for example: if you have the code "0423dwe34s" and use the service "http://service.glanzunion.de" the software will open "http://service.glanzunion.de/0423dwe34s".
everyone could develop his own service, like:
- Service directory (its the central of the whole system, every service that like to get known could use a api to update this database. So its easy to establish a local service. You don´t need to be google, if only some people use your service often in your city, it could become a mayor player viraly and extend from one city to the next)
- fastfood ranking (try the peperonie pizza, 5 stars)
- consumer guides (they have a bad service, waiting 5 weeks for my stuff)
- Guestbooks (2008-10-18 "i was here, waiting for Sonja")
- historical Moments (1968-07-27 this monument was build by Tony Hawk ...)
- photos or videos
- skateboarding trick guide (franz beckenbauer made a 900 here)
- Calender (17.10. Beatsteaks ... link, 23.10. Madonna...)
- Local Noticeboard ( i have 30 movement cardboard boxes for free call 1234)
- Flirt (blond woman 32 is looking for the real love...)
- hotel guides (the rooms are big and very tidy, but the w-lan was broken down for 2 days)
- wiki connect (shows all wiki articles related to this tag) ->http://semapedia.org/
- local secret bump guide (got 14bucks here in 4 hours)
this services could be realised with mysql and php and it would be great if someone could make a kit easy as wordpress.
To get the money for the main service, you could make the stickers bigger for a sponsor.
And heres the users part: they could carry some stickers with them and place them where they like, make a photo and use the service they like (make a note, comment, rating for the place, upload a photo). And if they spot a sticker they could ad an other comment or use an other service.
And here are some more ideas:
geotagging: if the mobile Phone has an gpsdevice you could upload the location. the server could collect all the data and show the average possition in open street map.
Connecting several codes, if a code get lost or is moving around the city you could reconnect them by streetsname, location name with existing Tags.

free ideas for openscource
we all have ideas we can´t realize on our own. In the past i tried to find someone to make it real, but i never found the right person and then i skipped it because i had another idea and the circle starts again.
I created the theory of Idea darwinism (like many others), surviving of the fittest and weaker ideas die.
Sometimes i realy thought about patenting the idea to get rich later. But i don´t have the money and lawer friends to do this.
But this week i realised, that there was a problem with my idea-evolution-theory. Maybe some ideas are to weak to survive here in Mainz, Germany. But they could be great in other regions or sometime in the future.
So i changed my mind and i will post the ideas here and everyone who likes it, can take care of it. But its important for me, that no-one has a monopoly to this idea. You can´t buy it, just take it. If you want to use it commercially i will not sue you. But I hope there will be some others, that will use the same Idea to get some competition.
You ask yourself, why is he doing this?
- It tooks no effort to get ideas and a little effort tp write it down
- I hope some of you will contact me, if you like my idea. I allways have some more details in my head i cant write down here. So you can get more ideas for free (if you are open scource) or a consultingfee/shares (if you want to become rich).
- Attention: more people will see this blog
